From Island Labs

For quick and easy directions use the popular [Google Maps Directions]. This combined with a high resolution print out of the campus map below, is a good pair for people traveling to a meeting for the first time.

[edit] From Northern Parkway, Long Island Expressway (I-495), Jericho Turnpike (Rte. 25) & Rte. 25A:

• Get off the Long Island Expressway at exit 49S (Northern Pkwy exit 40) and head south on Route 110 for approximately 3 miles (Northern Pkwy appx. 4 miles).
• Go past the main entrance and turn right on Melville Rd. (which is the next intersection.
• Enter at the first turn-in on the right
• You can park in the lot right there (Visitor Parking), or continue up around the curve to the lot directly across from Horton Hall.

[edit] From Southern Parkway, Sunrise Highway & Rte. 25B:

• Get off Southern Parkway at the exit for Route 110 (exit 32), and head north until you see a Taco Bell on the right and Ruby Tuesday's on the left.
• Get in the left lane, and turn left with Buger King on the right and the Farmingdale State sign on the left.
• Turn right at the next Farmingdale sign; this is the Melville Rd. entrance.
• You can park in the lot right there (Visitor Parking), or continue up around the curve to the lot directly across from Horton Hall.

From either east or west take the Long Island Railroad to the Farmingdale station (check with Conductor about any transfers required) and take taxi to Farmingdale State campus. See the LIRR's online timetables for detailed train schedules.
